Finding your Next in the New Year means starting 2016 with the right support and encouragement to move you from “stuck” to the “more” you’ve been dreaming to achieve.
University of Scranton research suggests that only 8% of people who make resolutions achieve their New Year’s goals (http://www.statisticbrain.com/new-years-resolution-statistics/). Yikes! Have you made resolutions in years past? Looking back, do you feel as though you achieved the goal? Do your resolutions really reflect the “something more” you know is out there?
In his Wire for Today blog post on Psychology Today, Ray Williams states that “making resolutions work involves changing behaviors—and in order to change a behavior, you have to change your thinking (or “rewire” your brain).”
Dare we say it’s time to start the New Year with something different than resolutions that are statistically proven to fail almost 90% of the time! I’m not asking you to abandon those goals you know you want but to channel your energy, efforts, and thoughts in a different direction. A direction that starts with:
Mind management in your now situation
Get unstuck and start moving again
Face your fears head on and conquer rejection
Increase your capacity for more and kiss mediocrity goodbye
Make your next days your best days
