7 Things I’ve Thought About After Fifty-Two Trips Around the Sun

7 Things I’ve Thought About After Fifty-Two Trips Around the Sun

After turning 52 on June 11th, 2024, I decided to write down a few things that I’ve come to realize for myself over the years. These opinions and thoughts are my own.

1. Things that I thought were important, were not really that important at all. God & Family are what’s really important. Everything else is subject to change.

2. It’s OK to question things that you’ve been taught when you were younger. You believed them because that’s what “they” told you and you never questioned it. You just accepted it as fact. As life goes on, those things just don’t add up. When things don’t add up, its OK to question and seek the truth for yourself.

3. I believe there are two churches that exist today. The Church that man has built, and the Church that Jesus has built.

4. You can’t out exercise a bad diet. No matter how much you go to the gym and work out, it won’t change you if you don’t manage what you consume.

5. In today’s culture, parenting is one of the most difficult jobs on the planet. Tough love is still required. Don’t be afraid to be “That Parent”.

6. Southern style sweet tea is still the best beverage out there.

7. Life without social media was so much better. Less screen time and more God time. It takes discipline, but it brings so much peace to your mind.

Of course I have many more thoughts and opinions on life in general, but we’ll save that for another time.

Blessings,
Adonis
